Teacher Application - Karis Academy

Thank you for your interest in a teaching position at Karis Academy. If you have read our materials and Dorothy Sayers’ essay The Lost Tools of Learning and have substantial agreement with the vision outlined, then complete and return this application form along with your resume. You will be contacted regarding the status of your application.

Here is an overview of the application:

  1. Personal Information

  2. Christian Background and Views

This section has a few long-answer questions. The questions include your definition of a Christian, your relationship with Christ, your view of the Bible and its authority in your life, and your motivation for teaching in a Christian school.

  3. Educational Background and Experience

This section asks for education-related information such as transcripts and college degrees. At this point, unofficial transcripts are acceptable.

  4. Educational Philosophy

This application may be a little long, but Karis wants to ensure that teachers are hired that support the mission statement and value system. This will not only ensure that our students benefit in the classroom, but also that teachers have a similar perspective on education.
